there is some strength and healing that comes from realizing your lowest point. in a way it helps you overcome what needs to be overcame. you will start negotiating with life so that nothing will be that bad ever again- which i guess could make you more proactive and give you the willpower to jump out of an apathetic state of mind. the biggest relief for me personally is accepting how bad things could get. in a way, it sets me free from all of the uncertainty in life.
